We are minus a dog and I have to admit it feels a little lonely in the house tonight. Carolyn wanted to call to check on Coco, but decided to wait until Wednesday to make her call. Funny...neither of the girls is concerned about Skye (the fish) spending time next door!
We've had such a busy week. We got home tonight and had to hurry (with tears) through homework and packing (more tears). One child was sent to bed without packing (I won't mention names...but it was the youngest child...) and was given instructions to go to sleep and wear whatever Mom decides to put in the suitcase. AH! Finally a way to get her to wear some of those outfits she might never choose herself! If she's wearing the same outfit in every picture we take in North Carolina you'll know she didn't dig what Mom packed!
Why is it that whenever I leave for somewhere I feel the need to really clean the house? It is almost 11 p.m. and I am CLEANING. I am actually going to drag the vacuum upstairs and hope the girls can still sleep through it like they did when they were babies. Better get to it and relish the fact that I will come HOME to a clean house.

Coco is doing very well! She christened the carpet when she arrived, but has been an angel ever since.
ReplyDeleteMadelyn has grown very attached to her already. She wakes up in the morning and when Chris and I go in to get her, the first thing she says is, "Coco. Mere!" (come here) She also loves to boss Coco around..."Coco. Go!" "Mere Buddy. MERE!" (while smacking her lips together) It's adorable.
Tonight I was rocking her to sleep and I asked her to give Chris a kiss goodnight. Instead, she said, "Nite Nite Coco." Makes me laugh even typing it!
