It's been a busy week! My sister got a GREAT deal on airline tickets to The Homeland, so we made a quick decision to take advantage of it. We arrived in Grand Forks last night and drove to New Rockford...we spent today getting T&N's (my mom and dad) house decorated for Christmas. All they need is a tree! We woke up to a very light snow - perfect - my girls said they wanted to see snow "falling from the sky" this trip and it was delivered. I did some baking today with my nieces, the girls are at the farm playing in a pile of "cow poop, pee, grass and hay." We might make them farm girls yet!
Thanksgiving was fantastic with Scott's parents with us. Scott and his mom, Lila, prepared most of the Thanksgiving meal while I was at work on Wednesday. They made THE BEST mashed potatoes in Mielke Thanksgiving History. Only 16 grams of fat per spoonful, Scott thought. We had a wonderful time having Marvin and Lila with us for the week. They are so helpful and hopefully they enjoyed being dragged around to this and that. They were on the same flight home as we were, so we got a bonus 3 hours with them too.
Since I'm not home and I don't have the cords for my camera, I can't post pictures from here. You'll have to wait until I get back to Arizona to see pictures. There are Thanksgiving pics on facebook. Enjoy!
