We have survived our very busy week. We got home from North Dakota late Monday night and had something going on every day this week. I had my chorus concert on Thursday; Friday Carolyn had dress rehearsal while I had girls night. Elyse got to stay home with a sitter - she could not have been happier!
Today is a very cold Saturday and it started with Carolyn having testing for TKD. She tested for her senior blue belt and felt it went well. Then she spent all day at choir...for it being such a long day - literally 9 hours - she did great and was excited to get to perform. She said, "First I had butterflies, then I had goosebumps!" If any of you have ever felt that thrill of creating beautiful music, felt that tingle of emotion it evokes, and heard a roaring applause and standing ovation for a job well done, you'll know what she means. I had tears during their first song - it was very moving. So we are a proud and happy family tonight. It's almost 11:00 and do you think I can convince the girls it's bedtime?!
