Merry Christmas!

The children and Dad are still snuggled snug in their beds (Elyse in ours...) while Mom readies fresh cinnamon rolls (still has 2 hours) and the coffee pot. Even Coco the dog thinks I'm up too early. Normally when I come downstairs in the morning she is jumping all over the place and is ready for a walk. She must have noticed my bathrobe instead of tennis shoes - she just looked up at me from her forbidden perch on the couch and said, "Girl, it's too early and too cold. I'm going to stay right here for awhile." I think her spot on the couch gave her a better view of the little tree in that room. So I'm going to sit awhile and enjoy some quiet before the day begins...I'm going to admire our beautiful Christmas tree and a remind myself of part of the message from last night's service: the green of the tree represents our eternal life; the lights wind around it representing human kind all entwined with each other providing light for all and the beautiful ornaments in various shapes and colors are all the people of different shapes and colors that bring beauty to our world. well, it was something like that....I'm just going to enjoy my favorite part of the day - the early quiet moments in the morning before everyone else is awake. Merriest of Christmas, everyone.
