Gosh I love it here! We had another fantastic day in the White Mountains. Today we ventured over to Sunrise Ski Resort. The girls said it was the best day ever! We got to ride the chair lift to the top of the mountain and do some hiking around. Ultimately (and Mom really wanted to....) we should have hiked down the mountain, but we opted to go down a little ways and then back up. It was good - we got our cardio workout coming up the mountain off the path. Remember, Elyse likes to climb "like a mountain goat", so we tend to go off the beaten path whenever it looks safe. or not. We enjoyed watching the mountain bikers go down the trails - most of them were well padded and a few not so much. We saw a couple of them wipe out and quickly get up and continue on their way. I think I'd rather stay on my feet! After our hike around the top we rode the lift down, got our lunch, took it to the top, ate and took it back down. Then we rode it back up just for fun, it started to rain, so we stayed on and went down again. I'm not usually one for heights - especially when there are just trees below me, but I did enjoy the ride. We all thought of Grandma and agreed she would not have enjoyed the ride!
