We were in North Dakota this weekend to celebrate Ted and Naomi's (Zona's mom and dad) 59th Wedding Anniversary (which is October 11). I am the youngest of 10 children and 8 of us were there; 20 out of 25 grandchildren were there. We managed to take lots of pictures, drink lots and have a whole lot of fun visiting and playing. There were sad moments too: the 9 innings of the Twins/Yankees game...when Dexter learned free drinks are not a part of blackjack in Fargo, ND...and, of course, when we had to say good bye to everyone. It was a very fun time and a huge thank you goes to all who helped make it possible.
Grandma outlasted more than me at the bar on Saturday night...staying up with "the kids" until 2 a.m....I don't think she wanted to miss anything. Like Katie said, "Cancer? what cancer?!" I'm so amazed at my mom's strength, stamina and sharp mind. She isn't letting anything slow her down!
