I have been wanting cinnamon rolls for awhile...maybe I'm missing my mom this summer and just wanted that smell and taste of homemade bread.... So I got out the ole breadmaker (surely that is sacralige to my mom....) and "whipped up" a pan of cinnamon rolls. Which brings us to the debate in our house: are they cinnamon rolls or are they caramel rolls? You be the judge: they have a cinnamon/sugar mix in the middle of them, then they're rolled up and topped with caramel. Growing up, they were cinnamon rolls. Maybe we like to call them that because we knew our dad couldn't say "cinnamon" and it was a secret way to mess with him?! Call them what you want, they are yummy. Elyse says, "No offense, Mom, but Grandma's are still the best." There are still plenty left, so if you're hungry, stop on over.
Caramel rolls if they have caramel, cinnamon rolls if they have icing and no caramel. That's how it was at my house anyway.... :)
