Ok, we admit it: we bribe our children. With money. First it was for leaving the TV off for 24 whole hours (that was a challenge - even though we have no cable up here....Elyse likes her movies), then it was "come with me to Show Low".....and the best bribe was a trip to the Dairy Queen.
So, after yesterday's adventure with AAA we realized, "Hey, we really need new tires." So Scooter did some research on-line (again, gosh we love technology) and found Discount tires in Show Low. He was going to go alone since we were supposed to have a stay home day yesterday. I convinced the girls we should go along and that we'd find some kind of adventure. So, again, thank you internet: we found Fool Hollow State Park and went there for a picnic lunch. Scooter left us behind to hang out while he took care of the car. We were a bit ill prepared, however: no swim suits. Elyse didn't care - she jumped right in the water, clothes and all. Carolyn and I completed her Junior Ranger program.
And when Scooter Pie was done with the tires, he picked us up and we went to Dairy Queen.
