Carolyn was actually an alternate for the shot put, but due to circumstances beyond our control, one of the top people couldn't compete....so Carolyn was in! She threw about 15', which wasn't enough to earn her a place, but she enjoyed the experience of her first track meet. Her friend, Selam, also threw the shot (put the shot?) and did a couple other events.
