Honestly, I have to admit, my favorite part of the girls' birthdays is making their cakes. I remember being a bit hurt when Carolyn turned three and she requested a store bought cake! Elyse has had this "cake" designed (she even made me a scale model out of clay, drew a picture and then reminded me verbally just how this was to look) for quite some time and she was pleased with the outcome. As was I. I realized just how much easier cupcakes are than cake!
