It's been awhile since I updated the blog...I guess that just means there's not a lot happening with us. It's been a LONG HOT August and we finally enjoyed some cooler temps this weekend. Cooler - in that it was under 100 degrees for a very short time. It's been too hot to even take a picture!
School is in full swing and both girls are still enjoying it - enough that we all willingly get up and go every day. Scott is currently enjoying doing his work from home and we are all happy with that arrangment.
Carolyn is proud to have been elected as her classroom's Student Council representative and is a PE leader. She is enjoying fifth grade and all the fun activities it has to offer. She will spend the next couple of months preparing for an Aerospace Challenge and is looking forward to a field trip to the Biosphere 2.
Elyse is loving third grade and the field trips they've taken - first to the Science Center and next to a rock museum. Her class solved "The Mystery of the Missing Lunch Box" and that was an experience filled with excitement and suspense.
Dogs are dogs and doing well. Carpets were cleaned a week ago - and they're still clean! We had to say good bye to Elyse's fish, Wiggles, last week when I cleaned the fishbowl...and put him in the water that was too warm. We have now welcomed Magento to the countertop. And Mom is no longer allowed to be involved in Friday Fishbowl Cleaning.
