Over Spring Break (March) Elyse said to me, "Mom, I have this thing on my lip." It looked like a big blister. I asked how long it had been there, and to paraphrase, she said, "Since about November?" So I said, "Well, we see the dentist in April, we'll have him look at it then. Should we pop it?!" We didn't. We went to our dentist in April and he diagnosed it as a mucesele and sent us to an oral surgeon.
So we met with Dr. Johnson and he said it needed to be removed and here we are!
Ready to go. Elyse was very relaxed and calm.
Numbing up and prepping. They put a towel over her eyes so she could relax and not watch that needle going in. Again. and again.
I thought this was pretty cool. I thought it was like a blister they'd pop, but it had to be cut off.
That's a nice sized hole to stitch up!
Recovering...all smiles.
And some stitches to show for it.
