Elyse has always been our adventurous child. She is usually the one who is willing - and dares - to do something new and exciting. "Want to pierce your ears, Elyse?" "Want to pierce your ears again, Elyse?" "Want to ride the roller coaster?" "Want to drive the car, Elyse?" (OK, I haven't let her do that one yet....but I know if I just gave her the chance....)
Elyse has said many times that she always wanted her Grandpa Tom to teach her how to drive the golf cart. Grandpa Tom died a year ago and never got the chance to teach her. Every time we have been to Grandpa Ted's house, she has begged for him to teach her how to drive his golf cart (well, she has begged me to ask Grandpa to teach her). Well there was always a reason she hadn't learned in ND yet: in January...well, it was January! In May, it was cold and windy...in June...well, Grandpa was a little preoccupied...but thankfully, cousin Ted took Elyse out and taught her to drive Grandpa's golf cart. Elyse could not have been happier. Thank you, Ted, for teaching her and taking pictures of the adventure.
Elyse is pretty proud of herself. |
She was driving very carefully and made very wide corners.... |
When we were at the Marriott, Elyse thought she was ready to move onto a bigger model. |
JEALOUS! I want to drive a golf cart!
