It had been 15 years - yes, 15 years - since I had my eyes checked. Long story short, all three of us girls went to have our eyes checked the end of June. I am not sure why I was putting this off.... probably because I can see just fine and have never worn glasses. I was, however, concerned about Carolyn's vision. She seems to 'hover' over things she's working on: perfecting her nachos, writing, etc. So away we went to see Dr. Parot, our newly found optometrist.
Imagine my surprise when Elyse came out of her exam and the assistant said, "Well, it looks like she needs some corrections." I said, "Elyse?! Really?! How about Carolyn?" She assured me Carolyn was fine; Elyse needed glasses. Elyse could hardly contain her smile. She was pretty excited to pick out a fashion accessory pair of frames. Of the two of my girls, I would have to say, Elyse would be the one to 'enjoy' having this extra accessory. She picked out some really cute frames and was even happier when they arrived earlier this week. She is great about wearing them, taking them off properly and caring for them. She has even accessorized her case with duck tape already.
Elyse is loving her new look. |
She had to liven up that boring black case somehow. |
By the way: Dr. Parot assured me I am still a year away from needing glasses.
