Beth and I were the last to leave my dad's house after the funeral. It had been an exhausting week - emotionally draining, late nights, busy days, wonky sleep schedules...all very worth it and I was sad to leave my dad. Since Beth and I were the last to leave, we had the clean up detail....we spent one day cleaning and another day making sure my dad had snacks in the freezer - and yes, one of those days was spent making bread. Elyse helped dip the bon bons and was a big help - so much that she earned the nickname "Cinderella" - which she appreciated much more coming from Beth than she did Mom. We labeled the bon bons 'liver sausage' in the freezer...I wonder if they're still there! The three of us left the next day: June 21...and it actually was the longest day of the year.
Elyse did a great job dipping bon bons. |
Beth and I had to finish off the wine as well. Can you guess which glass is mine and which is hers?! |
