This is the 6th year that the City of Peoria has hosted their annual Polar Plunge. We have heard about it but this is the first year the girls did it. I was a little surprised they both agreed to do it and I totally would have done it with them but I know I would have been in the water FAR too long...and that would have left my kids motherless. : )
We arrived at the pool at 8:00 a.m. and it was 46 degrees outside. I don't know what the temperature of the water was, but Elyse said it was cold.

| The Peoria Fire Department was serving pancakes. Since we had to wait 40 minutes for things to start, Elyse thought she should have some before she swam. |

| Did I mention we had to wait FORTY minutes??? Elyse was bundled in a robe while we waited. |
