Not to be outdone, Scooter surprised me with a DVD of "Gilda Radner LIVE". When we first met, I knew we were meant to be together: he had the CD of Gilda and I had the VHS...we shared a common love of Gilda Radner. So we still have the VHS and had no means of ever watching it. Too bad it's not a child friendly show to watch! Although...I don't think I was much older than Carolyn when I first heard "The Animals...the animals...let's talk dirty to the animals..." Oh the joy of having older siblings! I am pretty sure I can sing the whole thing from memory and still do a pretty good rendition of "Memories"....light the corners of my mind... I saw the movie five times but I cried six times because after the fifth time I knew it so well I cried on the way going there....I call it a film, not a movie. Gosh I loved Gilda. She was my idol. Next to Kermit the Frog.
Finally, I
also got an i pod touch...it's charging now. Summer project: load as many CD's as possible on it and get rid of all CDs in this house! An ambitious undertaking, but one I am sure I am up for.
To culminate the birthday celebration, we'll hear Carolyn's final concert of the year on Saturday. It will be wonderful, I'm sure. Thank you again to everyone who has sent birthday wishes in one form or another!
