Goodbye, Old Girl

It is with mixed emotions that we bid our faithful car of seven years, Bessie, farewell. Bessie joined our family while I was pregnant with Elyse in 2003 and now due to irreparable hail damage and a "she's totaled" diagnosis from the insurance company, we are bidding her farewell and sending her to the salvage section of the universe. So she sits on the street - kicked out of the garage by Armando the new car - like an abandoned child waiting for someone to give her a new (warm) home with a garage. We put the keys under the floor mat so really, that would be pretty easy... today we wait for the insurance company to come get her. Good bye, Bessie. Thank you for the many safe trips you took with us...getting us to and from school and work, North Dakota, California...the west coast...thank you and we will miss you. Well, for a little while anyway.
