Today we decided to try somewhere new so we headed to Oceanside. The beach was nice - great waves for the girls to use their new boogie boards, but no restrooms. I love that the beaches are not crowded this time of year - the water is cold! I didn't go in the water, but the girls had a great time.
I got just
a little sunburned yesterday....so I was trying to stay in the shade. We titled this picture "you can take the girl out of North Dakota but you can't take the North Dakota out of the girl." Ouch. Elyse was rockin' the "floppy beach hat" and was a trooper carrying that chair up the steps from the beach.
We had to make a stop at Starbucks on our way home. We found one sunny spot on the curb so we enjoyed our treats "like street people". Scott found a place doing wine tastings next door... so guess where we went!? We never miss an opportunity to try some wine - and it was actually half decent. I find I enjoy the wine stuff more that the actual wine: the cute napkins, aprons...accessories...fun stuff for a party.

After the beach we came back to the Four Seasons and hung out by the pool. It is S'mores Night so we had s'mores for appetizers tonight. I have to admit, the Four Seasons put out a pretty nice spread for "appetizers". Chili is cooking and drinks are poured. Time for dinner!
