Nothing says SoCal like going to the beach. We went to one of our new favorite places: Moonlight Beach. The water was warm enough for the girls to go in but sadly, all they could do was play in the sand for our lack of boogie boards. We stopped at Target on our way home to get them and they are set for tomorrow! It was a beautiful day to spend at the beach...reading a book, listening to the waves, watching kids -- who were actually getting along and playing nicely together - and just enjoying the fact that we have nowhere to be and nothing pressing to do. We love vacation....
Of course, everyone was hungry when we got home, so I whipped up some appetizers to enjoy on the patio: hummus and pretzel crackers, chips and salsa and some green peppers just to feel like we're being healthy; Scooter Pie whipped up the drink of the day: pina coladas with fresh pineapple. Mmmm. We asked ourselves, "This is so nice! Why can't we make this happen at home?" We can try....but for now, we will just enjoy our relaxing time together here and now.
