Mielke Family Fun: Volleyball Banquet 2013

Remember that really exciting volleyball season that ended the beginning of November?! Well, we finally got around to having a banquet/recognition the middle of December. Everyone got a little sidetracked with softball starting at the same time...and since the VB coach is also the SB coach, she was a little busy! ANYWAY, we had the VB banquet on December 16 and it started with a parents vs. players game. I am proud to say I got all my serves over and was part of the winning parent team. I might add, the only time I had to touch the ball was when I served - I had other strong players on my side!

Since the coach was pretty busy, I got put in charge of ordering the cake(s). I like cake. We had a lot of cake - and there was none left over. No - I did not make these. I am pretty sure I could not draw a volleyball or write in cursive with a frosting bag!

Coach Mulvihill and Coach Cathy did a really nice job of recognizing each of the girls in their own special way. Each player received a medal and many kind words from their coaches. In my biased opinion, felt Carolyn was deserving of a Most Improved Award....but the girl who got it improved a lot too. It was a fun evening with the team.
