Yesterday was Tuesday and we spent the day relaxing and hanging out at the beautiful Rumbling Bald resort. We had to sit at the bar to get Wi-Fi so we could work on stuff...so that's where the better part of my afternoon was spent. It was a beautiful fall day: sun shining, cool weather and leaves falling all around. Carolyn and I went for a walk late in the afternoon and enjoyed more of the scenery - including a wild turkey. This morning I was up early and joined the local Walking Club on their daily 2 mile walk. Didn't see any wildlife (other than squirrels!) - well I guess I did see a deer on my drive down to the meeting place ...and we did see several geese by the lake and on the golf course. OK, I did see wildlife. I am still holding out for a bear... or a mountain lion...or something "exotic". The highlight of the walk was the 16th green where a scene from Dirty Dancing was filmed. I haven't seen the movie in years (I meant to watch it before we came out here- we knew a lot of the film was shot in this area) so it wasn't familiar to me. I am not sure what today's adventure will be...I am happy to report that Elyse felt less feverish when she crawled in my bed at 4 a.m. so I hope the worst is behind us...she was not a happy camper yesterday. I can't remember the last time my baby was sick!
