Elyse is feeling better today so we drove into Hendersonville. We had a picnic at Jump Off Rock...there is some folk lore about an Indian woman and man who were in love...ill fate love etc. The woman (of course...it's always the woman who is heartbroken...) jumped off the rock and legend has it that her spirit makes an appearance on full moons or something like that. As you can tell, I didn't pay a lot of attention to that story! Well, the moon has been full this week in North Carolina, but we didn't see any Indian maiden making any unexpected appearances! We just enjoyed more trees and colors and walks. We had to be careful on this hike because the leaves were pretty loose and the trail hadn't been walked in awhile. It was lovely.
