Our Own Zoo Adventure

Our group had five kids, three adults and two hours.  We asked the kids what they wanted to see for sure, mentioned what we wanted to see for sure, planned our route and away we went.  We had seen the lions and tigers the night before, but remember, it was dark, so they were first on our list.  We got really good looks at a lot of our preferred animals this morning.

Lions

Rhino
We learned that their horns are made of keratin - like our fingernails.
We were also entertained by the African goose that was chasing the gazelle around.

Giraffes

We had to go to the petting part and farm section as well.  I tried to get a picture of Elyse on the tractor by herself...I have one of her from when she was pretty little.  By the time we got there there more field trip groups were arriving and it was getting crowded. And everyone wanted to be on the tractor...
Farm girl wannabe

Brushing the goats.
Milking the cow...Elyse is really quite good at it!
Elyse found a great tree to climb.

My kangaroo baby...
She sort of looks like a flamingo...
