Barb and Scott go way back to North Dakota paramedic days....I got to meet Barb and Clif when we did our tour to the Great White North in the summer of 2000. I was pregnant with Carolyn....we had driven from Phoenix to Las Vegas to Evanston, WY to Shelby, MT to Calgary, AB to Banff....which I still maintain is God's greatest creation: the Canadian Rockies. We spent a week in Banff and then made our way to The Homeland via Edmonton, AB where I got to meet Barb and Clif.
Twelve and a half years later....Barb and Clif spent a week in Mesa and we got to be on their agenda for dinner one night. It was a ton of fun - and the food was wonderful. Wish I could remember the restaurant right now...but I can't. We sat and visited for a long while. Of course, Elyse was bored out of her mind, so she entertained herself by the fountain.
Elyse is always good at entertaining herself. She had just gotten into making balloon animals - well! There was a balloon animal making person at the restaurant. Elyse followed her around - wanting to take on an apprentice type role. Somehow she landed this beautiful headgear and $5.
