We are so enjoying our time in Southern California. We started our day at Capistrano Beach...we were in search of another place but landed there instead. The girls splashed around in the ocean while I started a new book (Harry Potter #4) and Scott enjoyed the sound of the ocean. We stayed an hour and Elyse was seriously hating the beach. I believe she is more of a pool girl and really just wanted to come back to the resort and be in the pool. She was not liking the fact that her swimsuit was full of sand! She perked up later - once she had some lunch and had her swimsuit cleaned out! It's amazing what a difference those two things can make!
We made our way to Aliso State Beach and spent a few hours walking the beach and exploring the tide pools - note the starfish. The tide pools were fun to climb around and the waves...sandy beach...sunshine...all is wonderful! The weather is perfect and the ocean....well...the ocean is always beautiful to us. We got to see the sun set at the beach too - always a treat. It was a good day. Every day is a good day when you're on vacation.
