The Homeland - Day 2

Saturday, January 14

Today sort of felt like that story of "Oh it's the first snow of the season...isn't it beautiful?" I have to admit, it really is nice to have just a dusting of snow on the ground - especially when it falls at night when I am not driving! I slept late and took off for my walk -- all bundled up in my borrowed Fighting Sioux jacket. Got a better offer for exercise, so I turned around and shoveled the driveway and sidewalk...came inside and was about to check Daddy for a pulse when he finally came downstairs at 9:30 a.m. and even he commented that he doesn't usually sleep that late.

Tonight I am watching football with my dad: always a learning experience... in language and in sport. Who knew the Saints could be known by so many other names?! We have a $1 bet on the second game...and I have been notified several times that I will most likely have to pay up. Maybe tomorrow will be better for me and my football picks! I think he'll give me the Packers....
