Fools Hollow - Day 2

We weren't sure the weather would be nice enough to go to the lake yesterday, but it ended up clearing up nicely early in the afternoon.  We loaded up the car and the dogs and away we went.  Scott and Elyse took a trek in the kayaks, which Elyse got tired of real fast. So Carolyn took over. I hiked up the hill above them and took pictures.
Elyse and Carolyn making the switch.
My view from the top.
Carolyn and Scott are in the kayaks at the bottom.

Everyone got back to the dock and we hiked to a different spot.  A couple of years ago we had canoed to this rock and there were some girls jumping off the rock into the water.  We found the same rock and after some 'research' on the depth of the water, the girls deemed it safe to go in.  The dogs weren't sure what to think.  Annie was pretty excited and was up and down the rock with the girls -- and only in the water once, purely by accident.

A family picture -
finally one with the dogs looking in the right direction.

This is the rock the girls were jumping off.
It looks a little like Pride Rock from "The Lion King".
I am content to watch from my perch with Coco.

Annie would climb up on the rock with the girls,
then scramble down and worry about the girls as they swam back to the shore.

I love this picture.
Elyse would jump in and Annie would watch.
Then run down the rock to check on her.
Then they'd both get back up on the rock and do it again.

Elyse was pretty tentative at first, but
after the first jump, there was no stopping her.
Annie was not nearly as brave.
