Happy Mothers Day!

I celebrated Mother's Day with my girls, Scooter and one of my "Arizona Mom's":  my aunt, Alice.  We had a lovely day out at Happy Trails and I am happy to say I hardly had to do a thing.

Carolyn and I enjoyed a Starbucks treat.
Elyse is still a cuddler and gives great hugs.

My two favorite girls.

When we moved to Arizona in 1997, I looked forward to spending time with my aunt and uncle, Alice and Ed.  I was grateful that we would know someone - and have some family nearby. We bought our first house in Surprise and were just a few miles from my aunt, Alice.  Over the years Alice (and Irene) became my surrogate moms and have provided me with much wisdom, kind words and advice.  I treasure them both beyond measure and I was very happy to get to spend Mothers Day with Alice.
Bit of trivia:  Alice was NRHS Homecoming Queen in 1947; my mom was NRHS Homecoming Queen in 1948 and they married brothers.  I guess Ted and Ed did alright?!
